National Apple Day

Wednesday 21st October

Britain ’s Orchards are in danger of extinction thanks to our growing reliance on cheap imported apples.

Help to save our orchards by buying English apples and juices and by celebrating Apple Day.

Celebrate at home by making apple pie or toffee apples, drinking apple juice or simply eating an apple.

This Wednesday to celebrate National Apple Day a selection of English apples, apple juices from Surrey and Hampshire and toffee apples will be available to buy from Petersham Nurseries teahouse.

Alternatively why not have a go at growing your own apples?  Our new selection of British grown fruit trees and bushes includes a wide range of apple varieties including Apple ‘Bountiful’, Apple ‘Braeburn, Apple ‘Charles Ross’, Apple ‘Golden Delicious’, Apple ‘Greensleeves’... and many more. Click here to view our full range of fruit trees.

All of our apple trees have been selected for their taste quality and good disease resistance. They are available in a number of forms including bushes, standards and fan-trained, the majority are self-fertile, all are British grown.
